Architect - Technology Resilience - PAYE Inside IR35 - Hybrid (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £600 - 900 per day

The Impact Team delivers advisory, transformation and managed services, predominantly within Financial Services. We have a current opening for an experienced Architect to take on a lead role in developing the Technology Resilience framework alongside our client's technology leadership team.

With Resilience forming a key pillar in the firm's technology strategy you will bring your experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Cloud Architect or Application Architect to develop and promote reusable patterns and best practice across the application landscape, the enterprise infrastructure environment, security/cyber, data architecture, service management & monitoring, and people/processes/ways of working.

To be successful in this role you will need to have exceptional communication skills, being able to present ideas and designs in detail to engineering teams, and more holistically to senior technology stakeholders. By that we mean that you should be able to influence engineering teams from your Gliffy schema, but also be able to demonstrate broader benefits to less-technically-minded colleagues from a well thought through deck. You will be given ownership of individual initiatives, so the ability to take personal accountability for successful implementation is paramount.

From a technology background perspective, you will have expertise in some of the following:
  • Application architecture
  • Infrastructure/Cloud architecture
  • Microservices architecture
  • DevOps
  • Container architecture
  • Infrastructure as Code and Automation
  • CI/CD pipeline and Automated Testing
  • SRE/Production Support
  • Observability (Logging, Monitoring, Telemetry, Metrics)
  • Chaos Engineering
  • Strategy authorship
  • Retail Banking, Wealth Management or Markets
  • Experience in a global, geogrpahically-diversified organisation
  • Data analysis/AI on large data sets, drawing conclusions and insights
While remote work is fully supported, a willingness to regularly attend meetings and workshops in London or other locations in the UK is expected.
